In January we were thrilled to announce the launch of our new Advisory Board, hosting our first advisory group meeting online. This initiative marks a significant step in our ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in education and assessment.

Purpose of the Advisory Board

Our Advisory Board brings together a group of external academics with expertise in education and assessment. Their collective insights will help us address key challenges in an evolving landscape and drive meaningful advancements in digital assessment. By leveraging their diverse perspectives, we can continue delivering solutions that are truly aligned with the needs of the education and assessment community, providing even greater value to our customers and partners.

 

The Role of the External Academic Advisory Board

The External Academic Advisory Board will focus on several critical areas:

  • Innovative Assessment Methods: Identifying and exploring cutting-edge techniques for evaluating student performance.

  • Educational Technologies: Assessing the impact of new technologies on education practices and outcomes.

  • Policy and Standards: Analysing educational policies and standards to ensure our practices are current and forward-thinking.

Participants have access to a Text Reader which is designed to assist users with visual impairments, reading disabilities, or those who prefer auditory learning. It converts written content into spoken words, enabling users to listen to the text instead of reading it on screen. Operating the tool is straightforward for test takers: they can easily highlight the desired text and simply press play to have the text read aloud through their speakers or headphones.

We are continually evaluating and developing our services, web products, and solutions to improve against accessibility and design standards and best practices.

We are undergoing a WACAG Audit and will publish our accessibility statement once available. We are accessibility accredited by the Ministry of Education for our work in universities in the Middle East.
